Summary

 

Results-driven Associate Inventory Analyst with a proven track record of optimizing supply chain efficiency and product integrity in fast-paced retail environments. Skillful at managing daily inventory operations, including precise inventory counts, store recalls, ticketing, carton tracking, and data-driven inventory adjustments. Combines strong analytical capabilities with a strategic mindset to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce shrinkage, and streamline cross-functional workflows.

 

Responsibilities

 

Strategic

                                                                                                                                                             

  • Improve inventory accuracy by creating and publishing monthly KPI’s;
  • Process Enhancement: Refine daily inventory workflows and standard operating procedures to eliminate operational bottlenecks and increase speed.
  • KPI Management: Translate daily count data and ticket trends into monthly KPIs to systematically improve store inventory accuracy.
  • Reporting & Visibility: Convert carton tracking and adjustment data into monthly reports that highlight aged items and inventory loss.
  • Project Support: Apply operational expertise to smoothly transition workflows during system implementations and 3PL migrations.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze recurring store issues and recall patterns to lead continuous improvement initiatives that mitigate future losses.

 

Operational

                                                                                                                                                  

  • Schedule, coordinate and reconcile store to store recalls
  • Analyze store stock-on-hand in order to reconcile negative inventory and goods-in-transit.
  • Schedule and coordinate store inventory counts with 3rd parties and internal parties 2x year.
  • Reconcile store inventory counts, analyze results, and ensure system resynchronization.
  • Maintain best-in-class internal customer service by responding to Store, DC and Ecom requests timely.
  • Coordinate, execute and monitor inventory transfers between sites.
  • Coordinate, execute and Store Closures and reconciliations
  • Goods-in-Transit analysis.
  • Fulfill external audit requirements.
  • Perform weekly/daily verifications of inventory levels and investigate potential discrepancies between systems.
  • Ensure cost integrity in the system.
  • Seize opportunities for optimization (existing tools, processes, special situations, tools to be developed etc..) to increase individual or overall efficiency.
  •  Work closely with various internal stakeholders regarding specific situations, issues, variances and/or processes related to inventories.
  • Ensure that the inventory processes are compliant and respected by the different stakeholders
  • Support the manager and the team in the accomplishment of all other related tasks.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks within your area of expertise to ensure that Aldo achieves its financial goals.
  • Foster and participate in a culture of risk awareness by promoting best practices in risk management.

Requirements              

                                                                                            

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Supply Chain an asset                                                                                 
  • 3 year experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience with SAP
  • Experience in retail operations an asset
  • Experience in operations at a distribution center an asset
  • Office suite (Excel advanced level).
  • Availability to work according to a variety of schedules during month-end and inventory period.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills                          
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal departments such as supply chain, Logistics, Operations and Loss Prevention
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and a fast learner, with the ability to quickly understand processes and apply insights to support accurate inventory management.
  • Available to work overtime and on weekends during physical count takings.  2 months of the year.
