Overview

The Planner is responsible for supporting the growth of Aldo North America through sales planning and inventory management. This role will help manage the in-season and future planning of sales, markdown, and profit/contribution, with an additional focus on inventory management and assortment strategy, aligned with the financial target. This role reports to the Director of Planning.

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Generate and analyze statistical data on area of responsibility
  • Build and maintain seasonal merchandise budgets
  • Monitor the purchases against receipt plan
  • Participate in the regional in-season management, and provide sales and markdowns forecasts and its impact on inventory levels
  • Update weekly and monthly reports
  • Manage and forecast the open-to-buy with interaction with the buying team
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports to support strategic business decisions

 

 


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years retail planning (with an emphasis on either inventory management, buying or allocation)
  • Excellent retail math and analytical skills
  • Ability to partner effectively across organizational boundaries; highly collaborative
  • Excellent Excel skills, ability to use Excel to analyze large volume of data
  • Excellent prioritization, process optimization and problem-solving capabilities; highly curious
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and discipline to check work
  • Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multitask
  • Experience in Aptean, QuickSight and SAP, an asset
  • Bilingual
