Overview
The ALDO Group, a worldwide leader in fashion footwear and accessories, is looking for creative talent to join its in-house product development team. Reporting to Product Development, this role will support in continually delivering fashion forward trends and develop our worldwide footwear collections reflective of our brand. The Product coordinator is an entry level role which is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment all the while being driven by their passion for footwear fashion.
Responsibilities
Samples reception and maintenance:
• Daily samples tracking and follow up with vendors to monitor sample deliveries
• Unload received boxes, organize and log the samples into our system
• Maintain overall samples order in the product development area, collection room and storage space (fridge): organize, move, rotate collection, discard and box up samples
• Participate in the setting up of the collection room for presentations
• Locate and retrieve samples in storage
• Ship samples, material and components for reference
Data management in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
• Create products and colorways based on Design’s sketches and developments
• Assign, maintain and validate the product attributes
• Support with material breakdown, HTS, and custom attributes
• Maintain the collection’s line sheet
• Support Product Developer with handover activities
• And other related data tasks
General assistance in administrative tasks:
• Create and maintain documents: spec prep, color board, comments template…
• Generate samples map for suppliers, validate the information and transfer them into our system
• And other related administrative tasks
Requirements
• University or College degree
• 2 years’ experience in a relevant product related role is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Mandatory proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Able to work physically and move charges of 50 pounds
• Positive, self-motivated, organized and strong attention to detail
• Capable to meet multiple deadlines in a timely manner
• Able to work in a high-pressure environment
• Able to work both independently and in a team setting
• Highly attuned to fashion trends with the ability to translate them visually is an asset
