Senior Full-Stack Developer

ALDO Group is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our technology team. 

This role requires a versatile engineer who can contribute across backend services, e-commerce storefronts, integrations, and mobile applications. While the initial focus is expected to be on backend development, priorities may evolve over time based on business and platform needs. We are looking for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, learns new technologies quickly, and is comfortable working across multiple platforms and domains. 

As a senior member of the team, you will help design, build, support, and continuously improve solutions that power customer experiences and business operations across our retail and e-commerce ecosystem. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable applications, APIs, integrations, and digital commerce solutions. 

• Build cloud-native solutions using TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and modern development practices. 

• Develop and maintain Shopify storefront capabilities, integrations, and customer-facing experiences. 

• Contribute to mobile application development using React Native and Expo when required. 

• Design secure, resilient, maintainable, and scalable solutions that support evolving business needs. 

• Integrate with internal and third-party platforms, services, and commerce technologies. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across applications, integrations, and cloud environments. 

• Contribute to architecture discussions and recommend pragmatic solutions that balance business value, customer experience, maintainability, and speed of delivery. 

• Continuously improve software quality through automated testing, CI/CD, observability, performance optimization, and engineering best practices. 

• Mentor team members through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing. 

• Collaborate effectively with product, UX, QA, business stakeholders, and external partners. 

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and maintainability. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 

• 8+ years of professional software development experience. 

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js. 

• Experience designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS. 

• Experience developing APIs, integrations, and distributed systems. 

• Experience with serverless and event-driven architecture. 

• Experience with modern front-end technologies and frameworks. 

• Ability to work effectively across backend, front-end, integration, and mobile development initiatives. 

• Proven ability to learn new platforms, frameworks, and technologies quickly. 

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices. 

• Demonstrated ability to use AI coding assistants and AI development tools effectively to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and increase development efficiency. 

• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. 

• Technical leadership experience, including mentoring developers and conducting code reviews. 

Preferred Experience 

• Shopify development experience, including Liquid, themes, storefront customization, and app integrations. 

• Experience with React Native and Expo for mobile application development. 

• Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS). 

• Experience working with Product Information Management (PIM) platforms. 

• Experience in retail, omnichannel commerce, or e-commerce environments. 

• Experience integrating with payment, inventory, fulfillment, shipping, and customer-facing systems.
