Overview
Reporting to the Director of Retail Space Management – North America, the Coordinator supports the appearance and functionality of corporate stores across Canada and the U.S. by managing store requests, minor renovations, and deployment projects from initiation to completion.
The role coordinates repairs, asset recovery and redistribution, store components, furniture, and displays to ensure stores meet ALDO Group design standards. The Coordinator may also support office and distribution centre moves, modifications, and related projects.
They define schedules, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and costs, while keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for growth, savings, and process improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and internal teams.
- Respond to visual merchandising, operations, and store support requests for corporate stores.
- Coordinate store closures, asset recovery, furniture redistribution, repairs, replacements, and delivery follow-ups, including customs paperwork when required.
- Develop or review preliminary plans for renovations and minor store reconfigurations in collaboration with the design team.
- Prepare and manage project calendars, budgets, updates, permits, quotes, and approvals with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Coordinate office and distribution centre requests, including furniture moves and room or office modifications.
- Research solutions, solve issues, and support construction projects outside regular office hours when needed.
- Complete related tasks and actively participate in company goals, meetings, performance cycles, and volunteering initiatives.
Requirements
- CEGEP or university degree in Project Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience in retail store planning, construction, facilities, maintenance, renovations, retrofits, or office projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Design Review, Service Channel (CMMS), and PowerSteering is an asset.
- Strong project coordination, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, resourceful, autonomous, and solution-oriented, with sound analytical and creative thinking.
