ALDO Group‘s wholesale (APS) division is an industry-recognized wholesale distributor and third-party sourcing provider of fashion footwear, handbags and accessories. ALDO Product Services (APS) has branded wholesale, private label and brand management partnerships with some of the largest retailers in the world.
The Associate Product Developer will play a pivotal role in coordinating and facilitating communication between suppliers, the ALDO head office, and our retail partners. If you have a talent for understanding clients and addressing their specific needs, you might be the perfect fit for this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication with our sourcing team to ensure smooth processes and timely deliverables, notably on product samples.
- Responsible for article creation and management within our PLM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date product data.
- Collaborate with the Senior Product Developer and Senior Designer to create detailed style colorway specifications.
- Ability to create product design concepts using software like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, under the guidance of the Senior Creative Team. Not necessary but an asset.
- Develop and assemble PowerPoint presentations under the guidance of the Senior Product Developer to support various sales and promotional activities.
- Extract and analyze sales data to support business decisions.
- Manage and maintain the product development sample room for Men’s and Ladies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in a relevant field.
- 2-3 years of relevant industry experience (footwear specific preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong command of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- A keen eye for fashion, trends, and pop culture.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to excel under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a pleasant disposition.
- This position requires fluency in both French and English as it involves communication with clients and stakeholders across Canada, including provinces where English is the primary language of business.
- Prior experience within PLM is required.
- Strong team player who brings a cooperative mindset, open communication, and a commitment to collective success.
- Ability to work on-site up to five days per week (typically 3–4 days).
