Overview

Step into a role where fashion instinct meets commercial strategy. We’re looking for a trend obsessed, analytically driven, highly organized Buyer & Merchandiser to support our Footwear Buying team.

You’ll help shape the assortments customers discover each season: balancing style, innovation, and performance insights. From analyzing collection KPIs to curating the next must-have silhouettes, you’ll contribute to every stage of the product lifecycle and help ensure our footwear offering stays culturally relevant and commercially strong.

If you’re passionate about footwear and excited by a fast-paced blend of trend, data, and storytelling, this is your next step.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising & Collection Performance Analysis

  • Track weekly performance across key metrics, including sales, GM, sell-through, weeks of supply, etc.

  • Analyze collection performance by silhouette, material, colourway, price tier, region and channel (ecommerce vs. stores).

  • Identify early signals of winners and underperformers, take action on replenishment, SKU adjustments or markdown strategies.

  • Build visually compelling KPI dashboards and weekly trading reports summarizing performance as well as highlighting risks, opportunities, and tactical next steps.

  • Conduct seasonal hindsight reviews to evaluate the performance of capsules, core collections, and trend stories; translate learnings into future assortment strategies.

  • Partner with planning/allocation to inform buy quantities, in-season reorder decisions, and future forecasting based on insights.

  • Evaluate competitive pricing and promotional patterns to assess price elasticity and contextualize category performance.

Buying Support: Crafting Trend Right Footwear Collections

  • Build seasonal footwear assortments plan.

  • Quantify and balance assortment by product attributes & story type.

  • Build costing files, margin analysis, and competitive value comparisons.

  • Manage sample coordination and product archives.

Competitive Landscape & Market Intelligence: Staying Ahead of What’s Next

  • Monitor the competitive footwear landscape (including store checks, social listening, online assortment reviews): retailers, DTC brands, emerging designers, and social trends.

  • Track silhouette shifts, material evolutions and new comfort technologies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Communicate daily with purchase order management team regarding purchase orders and delivery timelines.

  • Ensure alignment with allocation, planning, visual merchandising, ecommerce, and logistics teams for on time, well executed product launches.

  • Build visuals for product storytelling for internal and external presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Fashion, Business, Merchandising, Retail, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of relevant buying, merchandising, planning, or allocation (footwear experience is a strong asset).

  • Strong fashion sense paired with a sharp understanding of footwear trends, construction, and consumer behavior.

  • Exceptional analytical skills; comfortable navigating data and translating numbers into narratives.

  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to balance creative thinking with commercial decision making.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Passion for footwear, product storytelling, and staying ahead of fashion culture.

  • Knowledge of US market is a plus.
