The eCommerce team is growing at the ALDO Group, and data & digital technology are woven into our fabric. Reporting into the Senior Manager of CRM and Loyalty, the CRM Specialist, Email & SMS will be responsible for tactical strategy and execution of email and SMS programs, including campaigns, behavior-based triggers, and transactional communications. This role will collaborate closely with the content and merchandising teams and will focus on enhancing the customer journey through the optimization of email and SMS marketing campaigns, personalization and A/B testing. The CRM Specialist, Email & SMS will play a key role in the Digital Team’s ability to achieve KPIs and sales targets for the email and SMS channels. This role will be responsible for monitoring campaign and channel performance and the overall health of the email database. The CRM Specialist, Email & SMS will analyze performance and report on results to identify risks and opportunities and to develop engagement and retention strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Create work-back schedules and manage timelines with cross-functional teams for copy, translation, and creative assets required for business-as-usual sends, brand activations, and triggered emails.
- Work with digital team to build a strong email calendar that balances Brand Stories, Product Stories and Promotional Activity.
- Project manage, from copy and design briefing through execution of all emails.
- Perform day-to-day email and SMS marketing activities including, but not limited to, email and SMS campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
- Optimize campaigns through A/B testing to improve open rate, clickthrough, conversion, as well as specific business goals .
- Build and recommend customer journeys for the different lifecycle stages (i.e. new, churn, one-timers, active).
- Work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the level of engagement through email & SMS sends.
- Track and report on email & SMS performance, analyze results to provide insight for channel optimization and future programs.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current email, SMS, CRM and push marketing best practices.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing or loyalty program management.
- Experience in the customer lifecycle management, retention, customer segmentation, and loyalty marketing.
- A results and data-driven mindset with a strong analytical capability and solid experience leveraging customer data to drive conversion are an asset.
- Demonstrates an ease in building A/B testing and email optimization strategies.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong project management skills, demonstrates an ability to work well cross functionally with other teams.
- Proficiency using email lists, segmentation and email and/or SMS marketing platforms (ex. SalesForce, SendGrid, ExactTarget, Klaviyo, Attentive) and data analytics platforms (ex. Google Analytics, Data Studio).
- Ability and experience using AMPScript (Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s scripting language) and/or JavaScript for advanced dynamic content in emails is an asset.
