The Email & SMS Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing and optimizing campaigns that strengthen customer relationships, increase retention, and drive revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical and collaborative, with a strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing. They thrive at the intersection of creativity and performance, bringing both flawless execution and a test-and-learn mindset to the role.

CRM Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Build, QA, and launch email and SMS campaigns in alignment with the marketing calendar.
  • Develop and optimize lifecycle journeys (welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, reactivation) to deepen customer engagement.
  • Manage segmentation, personalization, and targeting strategies that bring relevancy to every customer interaction.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across CRM, onsite content, and broader marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current email, CRM and push marketing best practices

Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and analyze campaign performance (OR, CTR, CVR, revenue, unsubscribes).
  • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, send times, and flows to improve outcomes.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations that evolve our CRM strategy over time.
  • Monitor deliverability, manage list hygiene, and ensure compliance with CASL and TCPA.

Cross-Functional Collaboration.

  • Build and maintain workback schedules that ensure flawless, on-brand execution of all email and SMS marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with ecommerce and digital content stakeholders to connect CRM activations with promotional and retention initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in email, SMS, or CRM marketing, ideally in ecommerce or DTC.
  • Hands-on experience with ESPs such as Klaviyo, SAP Emarsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar.
  • Knowledge of CRM and customer lifecycle principles: segmentation, automation, personalization, and retention.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for improving the customer journey.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign and lifecycle performance data.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong QA skills
