YOUR ROLE

The ALDO Group is looking for a dynamic Legal Counsel to join its international legal team on a one-year contract. The successful candidate will be a pragmatic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and will support our Canadian and U.S. operations across a broad range of regulatory matters, including supply chain, consumer protection, privacy, product compliance, environmental matters and intellectual property.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Assist with and/or lead the negotiation, drafting and review of a broad range of contracts relating to intellectual property, information technology, wholesale operations, marketing, procurement, licensing and supply chain matters.

· Provide legal and compliance guidance to the Product Development, Marketing, HR and PR teams.

· Deliver training to internal stakeholders to enhance their understanding of key legal concepts and requirements.

· Collaborate with other members of the legal team and handle a variety of legal matters and assignments, as needed.

 

DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

· Member of the Quebec Bar.

· Five to ten years of experience as a lawyer in a law firm and/or an in-house legal department, with expertise in commercial law, intellectual property and litigation.

· Strong negotiation, drafting and communication skills.

· Highly responsive and service-oriented, with the ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision.

· Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.

· High level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills.

· Adaptable, proactive and comfortable taking initiative on new projects.

· Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
