Overview
The Senior Analyst, Global Transport supports a centralized global supply chain organization within a multi‑brand retail environment. Reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Chain, this role is designed for an experienced analytics professional who thrives in complex, data‑dense environments and can translate large‑scale transportation and financial datasets into clear, decision‑ready insights.
The Senior Analyst operates as a trusted thought partner to senior supply chain leadership, combining deep analytical expertise with strong business judgment to influence outcomes across a global logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain analytical dashboards and self‑serve reporting solutions to support transportation and logistics decision‑making
- Streamline and automate recurring analytical reporting and processes, improving data quality, efficiency, and scalability
- Partner closely with the Senior Director to support transportation budgeting and forecasting, performance tracking, and monthly cost analysis
- Analyze transportation cost and service drivers and develop clear recommendations and business cases
- Provide analytical support for rate events and negotiations, including lane‑level analysis, scenario modeling, and savings tracking
- Contribute to high‑profile cost‑savings and performance‑enhancement initiatives, providing advanced analytics, insights, and scenario analysis to support decision‑making
Requirements
- 7–10 years of analytics experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; certification in Project Management and/or Six Sigma considered an asset
- Advanced Power BI expertise (DAX, Power Query, scalable data models) with strong executive‑level data storytelling and visualization capabilities
- Advanced SQL skills (PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server) with experience working on large, complex datasets in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
- Advanced Excel proficiency and working knowledge of Python (Pandas, NumPy) for analysis, validation, automation, and modeling
- Proven ability to independently deliver end‑to‑end analytical solutions, from raw data to actionable executive‑level insights and recommendations
- Deep transportation and logistics analytics expertise, including cost‑to‑serve analysis, lane‑level modeling, and transportation spend analysis
- Experience with scenario, sensitivity, and what‑if analysis; exposure to simulation or advanced modeling tools is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior supply chain and finance leaders in fast‑paced, data‑dense environments
