About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Planner to own forecasting and planning for our Sperry and GH Bass ecommerce businesses. You will turn data into clear, trusted numbers that leadership uses to set targets, manage promotions, and make investment decisions.  You'll be the person who knows what we expect to sell, why, and how we're tracking. You'll also use AI tools in your daily work to move faster, test more scenarios, and spend more of your time on judgment and less on manual spreadsheet work.

What You'll Do

Forecasting and planning
• Build and maintain the forecast for each brand and region, using traffic, conversion, average ordervalue, and returns as the core drivers.
• Run the annual and quarterly planning cycle, including targets, budgets, and the bottom-up forecast behind them.
• Run the weekly OTB and work closely with the Buying team to set directions
• Update forecasts regularly based on actual performance, promotions, seasonality, and market changes.
• Plan around the promotional calendar and estimate the sales and margin impact of events, offers, and new launches.
• Build scenarios (best case, base case, downside) so leaders can see the range of outcomes and the risks.

Performance and insight
• Track weekly and monthly results against plan, and explain clearly what is driving the gaps.
• Break performance down by customer type (new, returning, re-engaged), product, channel, and region.
• Support profitability work, including margin, returns, shipping costs, and cost to serve.
• Spot trends and risks early, and recommend what to do about them.

Cross-functional partnership
• Work closely with Ecommerce Performance and Media, Site and Conversion, CRM and Retention, Merchandising, Finance, and Analytics.
• Translate marketing and merchandising plans into numbers, and translate numbers back into plainlanguage recommendations.
• Be the go-to partner for Finance on the ecommerce forecast and keep one consistent version of the truth.  Using AI to work smarter
• Use AI tools daily to speed up data pulls, analysis, scenario building, drafting, and reporting.
• Build repeatable, documented workflows so recurring reports and forecast updates take less time each cycle.
• Check AI output carefully. You are responsible for making sure every figure is accurate, sourced, and traceable, and that estimates are clearly labeled as estimates.

Reporting and communication
• Produce clear weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for senior leaders.
• Present findings in simple, plain language, with a clear "so what" and a recommended next step.
• Document assumptions, data sources, and methods so others can follow and trust your work.

What You Bring
• Several years of experience in forecasting, planning, or analytics, ideally in ecommerce or DTC retail.
• Strong understanding of how an ecommerce business works: traffic, conversion, average order value, promotions, returns, shipping, and the customer lifecycle.
• A track record of building forecasts that leaders rely on, and the ability to explain the logic behind them.
• Advanced Excel  and comfort working with large data sets.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in your daily work, with good judgment about when to trust the output and when to verify it.
• Strong written and verbal communication, especially the ability to explain numbers to non-technical audiences.
• Sound business judgment, attention to detail, and the confidence to challenge assumptions respectfully.
• Experience in footwear, apparel, or brand-led retail.
• Experience supporting more than one brand, or both US and Canadian markets.
• Experience building automated reports or dashboards.
