ROLE SUMMARY
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for the day‑to‑day execution of Call It Spring’s social media and PR activities, ensuring the brand shows up consistently, culturally relevant, and on‑time across all social platforms. This role plays a critical hands‑on part in content execution, community engagement, social listening, and performance tracking.
Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, the Social Media Specialist is deeply immersed in social, fashion, and Gen‑Z culture, using that awareness to ensure daily execution is highly relevant and brand‑right. The role requires an independent, creative self‑starter who is disciplined about deadlines and deliverables, while remaining constantly tuned into cultural and social shifts that impact how the brand should show up.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic
- Monitor social trends, cultural moments, and community sentiment to support content execution.
- Flag opportunities, risks, and emerging trends to the Senior Social Media Manager.
- Ensure content remains culturally relevant, Gen Z-focused, and aligned with the Call It Spring brand.
- Share insights from social listening, engagement, and performance to optimize content and community management.
- Stay current on fashion, pop culture, creators, and digital trends.
Operational
- Manage daily social media operations, including posting, scheduling, monitoring, and engagement.
- Execute content calendars, Instagram Stories, and campaign activations.
- Create social content, including copywriting, stories, and short-form videos.
- Manage community engagement, responding to comments and messages and escalating issues as needed.
- Oversee the day-to-day UGC program, including creator briefs, content approvals, scheduling, and campaign execution.
- Support influencer and PR activations through coordination, logistics, gifting, tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate with agencies to ensure clear communication of assets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Track performance metrics and support weekly/monthly reporting.
- Conduct quality assurance to ensure accurate and timely execution.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with the Senior Social Media Manager to execute social and PR initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Brand, Ecommerce, Marketing, and Customer Service teams.
- Apply performance insights to improve future content and campaigns.
- Maintain organized files, assets, tracking, and documentation.
- Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and ownership in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or communications.
- Experience creating social content and copywriting for brands.
- Familiarity with influencer marketing, PR, agencies, and social media tools.
- Passionate about social media, Gen Z culture, fashion, and trends.
- Creative, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and ownership mindset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and social media platforms/tools.
